About Me

Geology is the study of our Earth as a planet: a solid structure, the processes that shape it, and the life that has lived on it. Basically, the sky is the limit and I love just about all of it. A professor once told me that "sedimentary rocks are the pages of Earth's history books" and that really spoke to me. I think the most admirable skill a body can possess is storytelling. Geology is storytelling AND science!

I am from Utah, born and raised, where I have been exposed to the wonders of the Wild West. I love roaming the outdoor such as “mapping with my feet”, constructing stratigraphic columns, interpreting outcrops, collecting fossils/rocks/minerals, and working with those who also enjoy the fresh air. In addition to the outdoors, I am really fascinated with petrology and get great satisfaction out of making thin sections.

I graduated with a BS in Geology and an Anthropology Minor at Utah State University (Fall, 2022) where I have had unbelievable opportunities and created incredible friendships. I have been the Geology Club President for the majority of my time here where I have assisted in running the Outreach program as well as providing opportunities for Non-Geology majors to experience the wonders of the Geosciences through our activities. I have gained experiences working with various entities and communicating with business, schools, and government agencies. My leadership has flourished in addition to my experiences communicating geosciences to the general public.

I am currently working towards getting accepted into a PhD program or starting my own business so we shall see where the wind blows!
